If you have trapped your opponent's arm with their lapel and wish to transition to the mount, but are prevented from doing so, another option is to thread your leg between your opponent's legs and transition to the leg drag position. With their legs and hips trapped, there will be little, to no room, for movement or escape. Additionally, with the arm wrap still tightly secured, you will be able to transition directly to an armbar or triangle choke.
