In the case where your opponent is looking to establish a grip on your pants from x guard, intercept their hand and make a grip on their sleeve. Stand up straight to find your balance and extend their arm. With this control, begin moving forward using your hips and leg to put pressure on their hooks until you clear them. If you still have control of your opponent's arm after clearing their legs, attack the armbar.
