Escaping the 50/50 Guard, Outside Leg Smash vs 50/50 — Part 1/2

If an opponent puts you in the 50/50 guard and you don't wish to play from there one option is to underhook their outside leg, drag it across your body and smash it down in front of you. Once free, your next move will be dependent on your opponent's reaction. If they begin to turtle, you have the option to either take the back or force side control.
