Braulio uses a weak hook from the back to bait his opponent into removing it and putting their back on the mat. Once they do so he easily transitions to a cross collar choke using his shoulder against the back of their head/neck for leverage. If and when they ignore the bait, he uses his other foot to hook behind their leg and lift them off him. If his opponent is tough and doesn't tap to his initial choke attempt, he inserts his shin between his arm and their neck for added leverage.
